Hello! I'm Clara and I'm currently attending Animas High School. Lots of people ask me why I chose  AHS over the normal high school in the 9-R district. I decided I wanted a relevant, high-quality challenge in a more focused atmosphere. This is my third year at the college-prep charter school, and I have been there since the day it opened---when the student body was composed only of the Class of 2013. Despite the academic rigor and constant demand for professional behavior, I have grown to love this school very much. It is giving me a chance to stand out to colleges, preparing me for the work, and keeping things interesting with project-based learning. The culture is essentially drama-free and I have gotten to really know every individual in my graduating class of 58 students.
